The story of Medi

The story of Medi

We met with the clients for a stroll around Gràcia before visiting their new future home, getting a feeling of the surroundings of the space, the tranquility of the pedestrian street and the chatter under the sun that makes this neighborhoods one of my favorites in the city. The space was in a fairly good state already, the Volta Catalana ceilings are such a beautiful asset that make the historical units in Barcelona stand out by its uniqueness. We found a layout for their family to gather around the kitchen while keeping the spaces open and bright.

The arched opening was a special request from them to match the ceilings, and create an harmonic feeling to it. The master carpenters that joined the project helped create such fittings that keep the balance between the original and the new making it blend semlessly.
